The reporters travelled through the Manning, Hastings, Macleay, Richmond and Clarence River districts giving detailed accounts of the towns and the people they encountered.
The first journey takes us from Port Macquarie to Kempsey and on to the Bellinger River. He moved on to the Clarence River and Grafton before travelling to the Richmond River and to Tabulam.
The next journey, from the Manning to the Richmond River again goes through Port Macquarie, the Macleay and the Nambucca, ending on the Richmond River.
The third journey from Sydney to Uralla takes us through the Port Stephens district on to Raymond Terrace, Stroud and Dungog, through Taree and Wingham, describing the vineyards and buildings of Port Macquarie. From Kempsey, he travelled over the range to Armidale, completing the journey in Uralla.
